But weekends you find it at Clove Brook Farm, photographed by the quintessential country retreat in Dutchess County, New York. Five years ago, we filmed Episode with Chris He was there recently to peruse the many updates of the property. Please join me and Susanna on a magical day at Clove Brook Ranch where Chris and his partner Anthony Bellomo welcomed us into their ever-growing field!

It makes everything look effortless, but over the past fifteen years, he’s worked hard on project after project from decorating to renovating and rebuilding, including new structures like the stunning pool and pool house, below.

The gardens have been expanded
Including a new kitchen garden designed and installed by Anthony last spring.
Along the way, Chris had many of his mentors in mind, from legendary interior designers Albert Hadley, Mario Poatta and Bunny Williams to Martha Stewart, who expertly translated her ideas into versions of his own.
And now in his new book, General at Clove Brook RanchChris hopes to inspire others to do the same. As Chris adopts in his popular Instagram feed, it’s #progresseveryday at Clove Brook Farm. A relentless student, Chris is constantly reading, researching, and learning how to expand his knowledge and live the life he has always wanted.
