Oh boy, boy. This post is for all the dads out there.
I am by no means an expert when it comes to traveling with a baby or kids. In fact, I am more a practitioner. I mean, let’s try whatever works, right?
One thing I know, it’s a lot of work. Today I just want to share with you what worked for me in the past.
Of course since 2020 people haven’t traveled much, but these are tips you can use when you start traveling again (just try looking on the bright side here).
Best tips for traveling with a child
The Skinny Confidential Travel Tips (but like, with a child):
Invest in a baby travel stroller.
My husband Michael gives you this advice. this is trolley Lightweight, thin and fits in the top cabin of an aircraft. When you get in, everyone will direct their eyes to you, but then you will collapse, store and go your way.
This is very cool on the go and fits perfectly with Ubers and cabs. It is not a bulky, heavy piece of equipment.
♡ Put some stickers on hand.
This is so random and I don’t remember who gave me this advice. But attend Stickers. This gives your little one something to play with. Even if this gets them distracted for 15-20 minutes, that’s a great hack to gain some time.
Zaza plays with a poster and loves them. She puts them on her face, then on my face, and then she takes them off. Watch your child closely so that he does not eat or suffocate him. I mean how you can’t, they’ll smother you on your lap the entire journey.
The stickers are so easy to bring that they don’t take up space and stimulate their little minds a little.
♡ Have the food and drinking cup ready.
I like to bring up Little Yeti With a mix of blueberries, banana and spinach. In another bowl, I’ll have some sweet potato, mashed banana, and avocado. Healthy fats keep little tummies full for longer.
I’ll get her a bowl, a spoon, a bib, and give her bites of the food she brought. Most of the time, bring a whole banana as well and scoop some of it into a spoon to give her little bites if she needs a snack (or distraction)
There is, too This baby cup She got it because Kylie Jenner recommended it and Zaza loves it. Just leave it empty, then when you bypass security, fill it with a water bottle from the convenience store.
Plus, I like to buy a bottle of milk too. You never know.
♡ Download music before boarding the plane.
This is something I learned the hard way. When we were traveling to Aspen, I went to play my favorite song, Zaza Mrs. and the Tramp Audio recording. He calms and calms her as she listens to him from the day she was born.
Anyway, she went to play it and it wouldn’t work! Little did I know I had to download music to be able to play it on Spotify when we were off duty. I was asleep. Now I know I can download whatever I need (or even think I may need) before the trip.
If you are interested in Zaza playlist you can Scope that here Then download it to Spotify. Trust me, the playlist makes a big difference.
Bring a pacifier, even if your child is not using it. listen to me…
Our pediatrician was working Podcast We’ve been talking for a while about everything about piety, childcare, vaccinations, and more. He also told me that baby’s ears pop during takeoff and landing which is why he cries most of the time. My mind stunned. I didn’t know this – Did you?
Having a sucker for them can take the pressure off. Sure, you can give them a lollipop, but that sounds wrong, a little dangerous. I burst out laughing.
we love This pacifier And I keep it literally everywhere. In my bag, in the stroller, in my diaper bag – everywhere. Make sure to bring 2 with you on the plane in case one falls and the disgusting carpeted floor or you lose one. Because when you need one, you need one.
Other quick tips:
Dress your child in comfortable clothes.
Get a blanket from home.
♡ Try to align your flight with their sleep schedule.
Bring a garbage bag, some kind of garbage bag, banana peels, spoons, soiled containers, etc.
♡ Promise the diamond if that’s what it takes.
Do whatever you need to do to get over it. It’s tough out there, let me tell you.
I hope these tips will help you have at least a few moments of calm if you are traveling on an upcoming trip with your little one. Supplication for you. laughing loudly.
