Caprese salad ingredients

The traditional caprese salad always contains tomatoes and mozzarella with olive oil, salt, and pepper. In this recipe, I top everything on top of the baby greens and add fresh basil and simple balsamic vinegar to it. I added breaded chicken cutlets and Parmesan for extra protein.

How to make chicken cutlets

To keep the fried chicken cutlets light, I use a little oil and butter to fry them. I left it brown on one side, then sprinkled the top of the fillets and flipped them over. One side of the chicken will be crunchier than the other, but that’s okay because you can’t tell when you’re eating it.

How do you progress

This chicken caprese salad is great to serve and can be eaten hot or cold. We like to take it with us on our boat; It would also be perfect for a picnic or party. To prepare the salad, put all the caprese ingredients on a large plate and cover tightly with plastic wrap. Bring plates, utensils, and serving spoons with you.

Differences:

  • Add more vegetables like avocado, cucumber, or red onion.
  • Replace baby greens with watercress.
  • Put it in the air fryer using the same cooking method Air Fryer Chicken Milanese.
  • If you’re a vegetarian, discard the chicken and use the tofu sliced into strips.
  • Instead of serving with balsamic vinaigrette, use a balsamic glaze that you can use shopping or Home made.
