Masked thieves robbed a safe during a raid on the home of Everton club manager Carlo Ancelotti. Merseyside Police did not mention Ancelotti in their statement but said that two men in waterproof black clothing and black masks entered the property in Crosby at around 6.30pm. Friday night they were disturbed by Ancelotti’s daughter. Police said the residents of the house were unharmed and investigations are underway. Ancelotti is not believed to have been home at the time of the accident. The full police statement read: “We are pleading for information after a safe was stolen in a robbery in Crosby on Friday evening (February 12).” We were called at 6.35 pm to report that two men had entered a property on Hall Road East at approximately 6.30 pm. “The perpetrators were described as wearing black waterproof clothing, possibly with white writing on it, and black masks.” The occupants of the house were unharmed. “Officers have attended and investigations into the accident are underway. The property will be forensically examined and CCTV opportunities are explored.”
