Chevron halts Tamar gas field operations due to unrest

The Energy Department has instructed Chevron to halt operations at the offshore rig due to security concerns. Chevron, the operator of the Tamar gas field, announced that it had stopped its operations yesterday evening, according to instructions it received from the Israeli Ministry of Energy, due to the security situation. There is no indication when operations will resume at the drilling rig.
