Chris Weidman actually made the walk after suffering a severe leg injury at UFC 261. His opponent, Uriah Hall, examined an early calf kick by Weidman, causing one of the most horrific injuries UFC fans have seen in recent memory. Evolving karma, the injury was eerily similar to what Widman inflicted on Anderson Silva in 2013. However, Widman appears to be on the mend, as the injury did not affect him as severely as initially thought by experts. Chris Weidman recently posted a video of his first steps since the first injury, with his face visible. The post was paired with the following caption: “I started walking alone today. Great day. I appreciate all the love and support that motivated me so much.” Watch the video below: The strange loss to Uriah Hall came at an unfortunate time for Chris Weidman, who was looking to claim the title after his dominant win over Omri Akhmetov in 2020. Prior to Akhmetov’s victory, Widman was losing consecutive losses against Dominic Reyes and Jacquary Souza. It remains unclear if he will return to MMA after recovering from the injury. He wrote: “My deepest and truest feelings are a hero. Have faith, I wish you a speedy recovery. At this moment I wish you and your family light, love and knowledge. For sports enthusiasts, please respect this moment of this incredible warrior and let us hope he recovers 100% soon. God bless you. And your family chrisweidman. ”Silva also provided text words to recover from such an injury, drawing from his personal experience. In an interview with The Schmo, Silva had the following to say: “I know how strong she is and I know how painful you are, and how much you need to keep your focus in order to recover. You stay with your true friends, your family, you have a physical therapy every day, which is something Difficult. I remember when I went back to kicking again, I was scared, for three months I was afraid of kicking and jumping, but in one year my legs recovered. Then I kicked normally. ” Watch the interview below: Please take 30 seconds to answer this survey so we can better understand how to meet your MMA needs.
