live in Rhode Island, Sheryl Sparks She describes herself as a “real New Englander,” as well as “a widow, mother, and grandmother to the sweetest little boy.” When the pandemic hit and Cheryl found herself at home alone, she created an Instagram account to share her clothes “with the goal of looking ‘knit’ at least one day a week.” Here are five outfits to love…

“At first I would take pictures of my clothes and send them to my daughter, Alexandra, saying, ‘What do you think? And what about this?’ Someone suggested I start an Instagram account, and Alexandra said, ‘Why not? We can do that together. We got very close. I’m writing the comments – I canceled half of them, haha. I’ll get dressed and show her. She’s very pregnant now, and sometimes she’ll say, “Oh, cool, that whole outfit—once I’m done pregnant, I want it.” Other times, she says, “No way, not those shoes. Where did you even get it?!”
Shirt: KMJ (Pattern chosen by Cheryl and customized by KMJ in Quarantina style!). jeans: river island.
“I find it hard to describe my style. Part of me wants to say ‘classic’—but somehow, when I think classic, I think it’s claustrophobic. The first person I liked when I was a kid was Ali McGraw. She’s one of the Ticks I follow on Instagram. She’s amazing – now, I mean. I love that she has white hair like mine. It’s nice to watch it develop.”
blouse: dwin. Trousers: dwin. sport shoes: Carium.
“During my career as a dentist, I wore a uniform and didn’t have to worry about work clothes. So, I was able to buy some impractical clothes that I loved, like this top. (It looks like something you’ll find in the attic, and it feels very light, like a handkerchief.” .) I now work with Star Kids Scholarship Program, an educational nonprofit that supports at-risk children, and I help care for my nearly 2-year-old grandson. My next grandson is due this fall! “
dress: Madewell. sandals: targeting.
“Do you know this nap dress that went viral on Instagram? It looks like the minute, hour and year dress. But… I mean, I’m 65. And it felt so precious. Then I saw this dress from Madewell, and I thought, You know, it’s similar in style, but it doesn’t It looks precious. It has pockets, it’s fuzzy, and it’s super comfortable—I can’t recommend it enough.”

“Stripes are my weakness. My whole house is covered in them. I grew up wearing rugby shirts like these, which I borrowed from my friends and friends. Wearing clothes I like is a pleasure for me. Taking care of myself – getting up in the morning, getting dressed – this brings joy to me.”
thank you very much, Cheryl!
