Former England international defender Gary Cahill will undergo a medical at Bournemouth today, and the 35-year-old has agreed a one-year contract with the South Coast club, who are off to a great start to the championship season under new manager Scott Parker. Having made over 100 appearances for Bolton, Cahill had a successful seven-year spell with Chelsea, winning the Premier League twice, the FA Cup twice and the Champions League, then moving across the capital for two seasons with Crystal Palace, leaving when his contract expired and could not agree. On a new deal, he made 61 appearances for England, and appeared in the 2014 and 2018 World Cups. His experience will give Parker more options in defence, as the former Fulham boss looks to lead Bournemouth back to the Premier League. Please use Chrome browser to get an accessible video player.
