Israeli satellite network technology, solutions and services company, Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (Nasdaq: GILT; TASE: GILT) Today it was awarded a multi-million dollar contract to provide critical communication systems to 29 airports in Peru. The High Availability Communications System Award was awarded by CORPAC, the Peruvian Corporation for Commercial and Aviation Airports. The award comes on the heels of Gilat executing major government projects and Gilat positions for additional mega deals in Peru. Related materials Gilat will design, supply, implement and operate communications, navigation and surveillance (CNS) equipment for Peruvian airports. “Gilat was chosen by CORPAC due to its proven operational capabilities for large-scale government projects. This project will open the door to additional large deals as we intend to implement our strategy to dramatically increase business in Peru,” said Gilat Peru’s General Manager and Vice President Arieh Rohrstock. After a break in terms of new orders, and the collapse of Comtech’s $ 575 million acquisition, Gilat has received four major orders in the past few weeks and its share price has risen sharply. The stock price has nearly tripled since October, and Gilat’s stock price yesterday rose 11.35% on Wall Street to $ 11.35, giving a market value of $ 730.4 million. The stock was up another 2.36% in pre-market trade. Posted by Globes, Israel business news – en.globes.co.il – February 4, 2021 © Copyright Globes Publisher Itonut (1983) Ltd. 2021
