Hapoalim will distribute a dividend of 618 million shekels on 2020 profits – the maximum allowed by the Bank of Israel. After Israeli banks froze dividend distribution due to the outbreak of the Covid pandemic, Bank Hapoalim (TASE: POLI) became the first local bank to announce the resumption of dividend payments. Hapoalim will distribute a dividend of 618 million shekels on 2020 profits – the maximum allowed by the Bank of Israel. Profits will be distributed on August 18th. This is the first time since the first quarter of 2018 that Hapoalim has distributed a dividend. Last month, the Bank of Israel gave its approval to pay out a dividend of up to 30% of net profit in 2020, although instructions for a capital adequacy cut remain in effect until September.
