How to make candy

Making candy is much easier than I ever imagined. You will only need about 5 minutes a hand at the scheduled time to do this. Literally all you do is mix coconut milk, cocoa powder, honey, and peanut butter together.

Making your own dessert at home allows kids to feel as though they can eat the sweet things, and it also provides you with a way to control ingredients and boost nutrition in the foods they love to eat! They are sweetened with a small amount of honey, and the sugar content in each piece is very low. This is a great way to satisfy your child’s sweet tooth while helping them develop a taste for the less sweet things.

What is made of fudgeesicle?

The chocolate flavor in this dessert comes from cocoa powder. I like using cocoa powder because it provides the chocolate flavor in recipes, and it also has health benefits. Just one tablespoon of unsweetened cocoa powder contains a large amount of iron, manganese, magnesium, and zinc. What do these minerals do for us?

  • Iron helps form red blood cells and is essential for the immune system.
  • Manganese is a component of enzymes that make up cartilage and bones, metabolize nutrients and act as antioxidants within every cell in your body.
  • Magnesium helps produce energy and maintain a normal heart rhythm.
  • Zinc is vital to the production and development of new cells, including those of the immune system. Without enough zinc, the number of bacteria-fighting cells decreases and you become more susceptible to disease.

We added peanut butter to this version to make it softer and creamier with the addition of protein. Plus – peanut butter and chocolate are made to go together!

This recipe calls for coconut milk because it freezes much smoother than regular milk. You can definitely substitute whole milk if you prefer!

Instead of buying fudgeys from the store full of sugar, make your own at home and enjoy fortified nutrition!
