Welcome Welcome Welcome.
This post is about hangover tips while on vacation. I posted on an Instagram of all the things that helped me beat a hangover when I was in Cabo, so I wanted to post it on the blog so you always have a resource for your reference.
These are the hangover tips of your dreams. Things that you can easily simplify in your life or vacation.
When we went to Cabo I told myself to just let it go and have a little fun. This is exactly what I did. But I also wanted to make sure I was on top of my hangover condition, so I didn’t spend the entire vacation feeling sluggish.
I can honestly tell you that by following these tips, I was just kind of a booze once. Once !! I mean thank God for Hot Miss Roller.
How to avoid a hangover:
♡ Gangster Chic Electrolytes
Ingrid, the founder of the Gangster Chic brand, is one of my best friends and a creative star This is pure product.
H20nulin contains sodium, calcium, magnesium and potassium, and is delivered directly into the bloodstream. I like to put it in my morning tea or spa water to replenish all the minerals in my body.
It helps a lot with hydration so you don’t have to drown yourself in 5 liters of water. This vacation is a must.
♡ dry farm wine
I’ve tried many different wines from all over the world, and I feel like I’ve finally figured this out: Lots of companies add bad things to their wine. This means additives, aromas, colors, flavor alterations, sulfates, and sugar. Yeah. added. Sugar. at. your. vintage. So it’s no surprise that you wake up after two glasses of headache because basically you had two Snickers. It is disgusting to buy a bottle of wine from Italy and think that there is no added sugar when there is already up to 40 grams.
Anyway, you know, I recently had my boyfriend Katie wellness mama On TSC audio notation And she told me all about this company dry farm wine. The reason I was immediately interested is because they deliver it straight to your door monthly – you know I love delivery. Also, you can guarantee their wine:
+ Natural, sustainable and biodynamic.
+ They are bred and manufactured using traditional winemaking practices.
+ Does not contain any chemical additives to improve aroma, colour, flavor or texture.
+ Does not have or has minimum liquidation/fines
+ Contains no or minimum sulfate dioxide (SO2).
+ Does not contain commercial yeast to alter the flavour.
+ Use minimal interference in the wine-making and aging process.
To take it a step further, I researched and learned about how specialized they are in their wine selection and they only buy natural, authentic wines.
Then I took it even more…. And I got on the phone with the owners. They educated me about their wine, which is low in alcohol and why there is so much sugar and sulfur added to other wines. I told them I like red wine from Italy, I like rose, and so they sent me some wine to try. They just got it.
It’s time to test it out – I’ve always wanted to be the human guinea pig myself for you guys. I had two glasses of Tuscan red, ate how I usually ate and went to bed.
The next morning, nothing. Not even an iota of headache. I haven’t even increased amount of water. So I decided to get my sister Mimi and her best friend Westen to try it (not meant to brag but Westin knows his bullshit when it comes to alcohol and Mimi loves her wine, so they were the perfect people to test it out).
They both said….no drink.
Some fun facts about dry farm wine:
+ They use a certified liquor specialist to test all wines so they can guarantee that the wines are sugar-free (thank god).
+ They ensure that every wine meets strict standards for health and purity (we don’t want a bunch of shit in our wine that doesn’t need to be there).
+ They work with small family farmers to deliver wine that is grown the way nature intended.
+ Support small growers of organic and natural wines at fair trade prices.
+ They check for low alcohol and sulfate content.
It’s totally worth packing a few bottles of Dry Farm wine in your bag.
♡ Conscious Drinks
When you’re at the beach bar for a shot of tequila with Pellegrino and order some lime and lime juice. This keeps things skinny with no sugar. Sugar is a big cause of excessive alcohol intake (as we talked about above).
Some of my other favorite drinks are drink beef Cans, This kombucha is noisy & Ashland Hard Seltzer (Bring one watermelon).
pique tea
Matcha or ginger digestive tea is the best tea on the market. They don’t use tea bags (which are usually full of filth, toxins and bad shit) so you can just open the small case and pour the tea into ice water or hot water.
It is of very high quality and helps a lot in getting rid of a hangover. Pique tea undergoes a triple toxicology check for pesticides, heavy metals and mold.
good news: You can use the code Skinny at 20% off. Get the matcha and digest the ginger. Believe me.
♡ No wasted days
This is an herbal supplement that I always take after my first drink. It is full of antioxidants and minerals so it moisturizes and nourishes the body.
Other useful tips:
+ Rolling the ice off your face (it will fall apart and crumble in no time)
+ IV treatment (the compassion at Drip Hydration in Austin is fantastic)
+ whim huff breath and freezing cold shower ( More here )
+ sleep
+ workout ( Kim Kelly always kicks my ass)
And if none of this works, just call it every day.
Sometimes a hot bloody mary is exactly what the doctor orders.
What are some of your best hangover tips, especially when you’re on vacation?
