I tried the # 1 beauty treatment in Korea

Hey, hello, little sister Lauren, Mimi is here today to share a little bit about how to try the # 1 skin care treatment in Korea….

Sometimes when I meet people who have seen me on Instagram, they are confused about my choice to travel to Korea. There are various reasons: the people I met there (my friends – I miss everything about you), the transportation (the subway changes life), the food (Italian food in Korea >>), and of course the reason I clicked on this beauty post.

Okay ok i was intending to create this post for 4 months. I wrote it months ago, but I was a little busy Secret Skinny Shopping And I also wanted to make sure I thought about this for you! When I came home from Korea for the first time, I was so sad (and travel late) missing out on Korea to focus on anything else. Sometimes I think about how to live a completely different life there. Then I gathered everything I owned again, and moved to Austin, Texas. Once again, I had to go back to California for a funeral, and now I’m sitting in the spare bedroom at my parents’ house, making my notes on all the beauty tips and tricks I learned in South Korea this time.

I spent my days in Korea working, eating and looking for the best that Seoul has to offer. I had to buy a second bag of all the skincare / beauty products lol.

Also if you’ve been to Korea before, you know the pain of needing an ARC card for literally everything, including scheduling appointments for skin care treatments. Although I might have bribed a friend of mine for letting me steal his identity and make an appointment for me, I chose the most legitimate method I found via YouTube. No Yunogo It is also known as Mazaqati and is also known as the key to foreigners in Asia. From the moment I first went to Japan in 2018, I discovered the allure of K beauty, and I’ve been chasing perfect complexion ever since. Another challenge of being a foreigner in Korea is that finding a good clinic can be difficult. Even if you spend the whole day searching Naver, there are a lot of clinics that simply don’t work with foreigners, so enter Yunogo Who has already done the research, and is there to help you every step of the way.

Yunogo, A beauty concierge service that promises to provide a streamlined and hassle-free experience to help you book premium beauty treatments in Korea. I was very excited about the idea because there are many services in Korea that I want to try and I will definitely benefit from this service.

Eunogo is the mediator between you and the clinic, and they can assist you with anything related to your treatment, from car service, translation, to skin care advice from trusted practitioners. Given how beautiful Joy’s complexion is, I can’t imagine she or Yunogo The team will lead someone in the wrong direction. Eunogo has all kinds of services too, not just the treatments you get, you can get them: botox surgery, massages, products, body treatments, anything that the Asian beauty industry has to offer, maybe they can arrange for you. You can easily book treatment directly on their website, or you can write to them for advice on what to book / plan.

Yunogo Connects you to 60 vetted Korean cosmetic clinics, after they suggest treatments that suit your preferences. And it’s not just pampering facials, but all treatments from lasers to total plastic surgery (there’s a reason Korea is known for medical tourism).

It was a pleasure working with Joey, she helped me every step of the way. Including helping me find a dermatologist in an emergency situation – when I first landed in Korea and had a bad reaction to a very popular and very expensive oil / serum, Goop approved an oil / serum I won’t say his name but I will say I hate it and it’s a cruel way Too much for my skin.

Anyway – after I got out of quarantine and my skin had calmed down from the terrible reaction. Then I got on Skype with Joy and Team Nana To talk about my skin goals. My skin texture is dry / sensitive, and I also suffer from hyperpigmentation due to years of living on the beach and not using sunscreen (sometimes I look at a slick complexion and it’s so perfect I just want to protect it from the sun all her life).

Before my trip, of course I was digging deeply into all of Korea’s hottest beauty trends. So I was happy when Joy suggested getting a treatment I had already looked for in laser toning and NCTF Filorga Injection (also known as Chanel Injection) “that combines approximately 53 different minerals, antioxidants and nutrients such as amino acids. NCTF Filorga will be injected directly into the skin. Using nano-sized needle technology that reduces pain and treats every tiny pore to maximize the effect. Skin rejuvenation will be experienced from deep under the skin to the outer skin layers. It is recommended for those who are concerned with dry skin, loss of elasticity, enlarged pores, wrinkles and tired skin conditions. “

Plans were ready, and Joy sent me the information for me Nana Clinic. I was actually able to walk out of my apartment in, it was a nice cold day and the rain stopped just in time for my 10 am appointment.

I got to Nana, and Joey was there to meet me. She has the most beautiful skin I have ever seen, (Stay tuned for more about Joy’s favorite skincare products soonI instantly trusted this person in my life. The Nana clinic was very beautiful, in marble pictured from floor to ceiling, with light blue furniture. If I had been wearing cute makeup and an outfit, I would have requested the Instagram picture here. Anyway, I had a quick consultation with the Nana Clinic team, my Korean language skills were modest at best, so Joy’s presence was necessary to translate and advise on my behalf. Nana’s team went on to suggest my treatment would look like this:

Aqua Bell

Aqua Peel is a deep cleansing treatment that uses a skin vacuum cleaner where the tip of a rotating nozzle pushes an AHA / BHA solution into the skin, pushes impurities upwards, and removes dead skin, blackheads, whiteheads and other pore particles. It effectively removes these impurities without irritating or damaging the skin but moisturizes your skin with AHA / BHA solutions. ‘Pore out pores with a water-based peeling gel and a suction device that literally pulls sticky substance out of the skin and clears blackheads, while drenching the skin in moisture’ Across Netaporter

Anesthetic cream (because treatment can be painful)

Toning laser “Laser toning is an effective laser treatment for deep and dark pigmentation as well as treating blemishes and black spots. Laser toning irradiates the skin uniformly, and selectively destroys the melanin pigment only in the area that needs treatment without leaving any damage or scars on the surrounding skin tissue.”

Chanel Injection aka Rejuran Healer-

“It is one of the skin strengthening procedures, made from polynucleotides (PN) extracted from salmon DNA. PN is a series of nucleotides which are the basic structural units that make up DNA. By stimulating the fibroblasts in our skin to regenerate the key components it has lost with Aging, such as collagen, glycosaminoglycans and glycoproteins.Rejuran Healer is highly recommended by dermatologists as it improves skin health from its base.It improves skin elasticity, thickness, overall skin health, and restores damaged skin.

You won’t lie, it was too painful. But it is worth it. My skin has never looked better (even my friends in Korea were asking for my skin advice after this treatment)

Ultrasound-

IU Radiance Care is a hydrophobic treatment with a high intensity Ultrasound energy. It delivers energy to the depths of your skin by using different frequencies (1 ~ 10MHz) to make the skin moist from a deeper layer and to activate collagen production. It is effective in moisturizing, elasticity, soothing, whitening, and rejuvenation of the skin. It is also recommended to have a laser treatment to soothe and calm the skin.

Soothing Latex Mask –

To soothe my skin after the injection, my skin had some bumps after the injection

Then of course sunscreen !!

Joy stayed with me throughout every step of my treatment to make sure I was comfortable and translate a million questions to the doctor (these questions / answers will come in another post soon!). So I said thank you bye, put on my mask, grabbed my tea latte and enjoyed walking home.

On the day of my treatment, my skin was full of bumps and I didn’t want to over-irritate it with makeup or exposure to the elements. So I sat on the hot floors and ordered chicken for the rest of my day.

After 3 days of treatment, my skin was glowing. More than ever, he was not only glowing, he looked so full. I kept pressing on my cheek to check for elasticity because I thought it was too good to be true. It’s been 3 months since I had the treatment, and I can still say that my skin absorbs the product better, and in general, my skin is whiter and more radiant. My pores also appear noticeably smaller. Nana suggests 3-5 treatments, but I only set aside time for one treatment. I think I’ll have to go back to Seoul and get more treatments soon!

* Left 3 weeks after treatment, right 3 hours after treatment *
