India’s coronavirus death toll has crossed 400,000 as the delta variable spreads globally, including in the United States

As its previous success in tackling the coronavirus continued to wane, South Korea reported 826 new infections on Friday – the highest daily number of cases in nearly half a year. After the massive increase in vaccinations through mid-June, the pace has begun to slow, although Seoul recently eased the mask mandate for partially vaccinated people.
