The Hydrosphere is located in the hull of the ship and can retreat to enjoy a 360-degree view of the surrounding ocean environment without the need for an additional captain and crew. It is simply an elevator with a spacious seating area to host up to seven guests. As the Hydrosphere is equipped with onboard lighting that helps illuminate the water, it is accessible at the mercy of its owner. The hydrosphere can be deployed even when working at a maximum speed of 2 decades.

“The only other way to get this kind of experience is to dive into a submarine,” says Steve Gresham, lead designer and founder of Gresham Yacht Design. That takes time, though – it takes at least an hour to get the submarine ready to go and get to the water, if not longer. Deploying our hydrosphere takes just a few minutes, which means you won’t miss that fleeting moment when a beautiful marine creature swims.

Since safety is paramount, the elevator pressure casing runs through the structure, and the entrance is under the stairs above the waterline, ensuring safe access and exit for guests. When not in use, the hydrosphere is pulled into the enclosure protected by an external hatch and suspended above the waterline.
