I wish I could say that 2020 has been full of smiles like the one there is, but I don’t need to go into detail in order to dispel this myth. I think the dead hanging plants and overgrown shrubs in the background are a fitting motto for this year as a whole.
While there was a lot of laughter and many Yes, it has been a weird, challenging, and general year of personal struggle for me – I felt underrated and challenged in many ways.
But I also had the beautiful, sometimes calm, but always affirmation that Jesus Christ is the bringer of hope. About peace. Of comfort. The anxiety gently calmed my mind over and over and helped me move forward with faith in a better tomorrow … even when today I feel impossible.
I am so grateful for this time of year that it reminds me of that again Thousands of years ago, he came.
To everyone’s surprise, from the lowest shepherd to the richest and wisest of men, he came.
He came for me. And it came for you.
