Swing and fail. MLB All-Star uniforms often have some sort of association with the city you played in. Or, at least, it was. This year, MLB and Nike have paired up in the new All-Star Game unis and seem to have been copied from the polo game of the late 1800s, with a middle school student putting some general lines up front with the team’s brevity. 7 Players We Want to See at the Home Run Derby According to Chris Kramer of SportsLogos.Net, the uniforms will be worn during the All-Star Game, while the players’ uniforms for their normal team will be worn during the Home Run Derby. On the other hand, it’s okay to use purple (Purple Mountain’s Majesty, and all) on the star accentuating the team’s logo at the front, as this year’s All-Star game moves from Atlanta, Georgia to Colorado after the MLB pulled out amid the introduction of controversial new voter laws. In Georgia, which many see as an apparent attempt to suppress voters, MLB fans and analysts took to the Twitter machine Thursday to express their displeasure with the uniform: Of course, it’s all terrible. MLB is still funny and embarrassingly bad at knowing its audience. It’s basically performance art, but I think I can honor the commitment to the part. https://t.co/f220P3yR9K – Jason Foster (@ByJasonFoster) Jun 24, 2021 cheers. One of the great things about the MLB All-Star game is that players will wear their own jerseys. It’s such a small and small thing, but thanks Manfred. https://t.co/hJD9qihLxs – Geoff Magliocchetti (@GeoffJMags) Jun 24, 2021
