While some head to the Tokyo Olympics for the sport, others follow all the fashion looks that are presented. Despite most of the early morning action for the US, Americans hoping to catch up on what they missed during the Olympics don’t have to worry thanks to NBC’s prime-time coverage. All thanks to some of the network’s best (and best stylish) broadcasters and analysts who keep us updated. With all eyes on the women’s gymnastics team – led by former Team USA member Simone Biles and US Olympic Hall of Fame member Nastia Liukin, 31, is on to cover the team. Not rivaling the superstars in gaming this time around, the “fashion queen” is still sending social media users crazy with her unique and daring outfits shown on national TV. The Olympics’ official Twitter account shared on July 19, “The Queen of Fashion has arrived.” Who’s ready for @NastiaLiukin’s #TokyoOlympics looks? In the photo, Liukin is seen looking casual, relaxed yet elegant in a lavender ensemble. Liukin has been in Tokyo for a week and has already showcased many bold and vibrant outfits – from pink power suits to purple bell-bottoms – during her time at the games on her Instagram and Twitter account. With gymnastics events scheduled through August 3, viewers can only expect to see more amazing bouts. Several Twitter users have taken to social media to show their love for Liukin’s fashion look as the former gymnast uses the Olympics as her runway. Even with all the love, not everyone was feeling Liukin’s look as some people questioned her stylist’s choices. Despite the mixed criticism, it’s safe to say that we can expect Liukin to give us more fashion inspiration in the coming days. Follow Jordan Mendoza on Twitter: @jord_mendoza.
