Las Vegas – If this was Manny Pacquiao’s last fight, he gave his all, but it wasn’t enough. Substitute opponent Yordenis Ugas intervened at short notice after Errol Spence Jr. was sent off. Due to an injury and gave an excellent performance, neutralizing Pacquiao’s attacks with a sharp blow and a direct hit that fell with alarming frequency. Pacquiao tried to find his way inside, but simply couldn’t as Ugas repeatedly dropped him with a jab. In the end, all the judges saw it in favor of Ojas with scores of 115-113, 116-112 and 116-112. “I told you I was the hero and I offered you tonight,” said Ojas. Pacquiao’s limitations due to size have been an issue from the start. Ugas installed a jab and quickly adjusted with Pacquiao’s speed. There were moments when Pacquiao emerged from the crowd at the T-Mobile Arena with his forward lunges and punches in groups. But Ojas put it all together in a stellar performance that will be the biggest victory of his career and likely lead him into a unification battle. As for Pacquiao, if this is really the end, he will be remembered as one of the best players to do so. The record 62-8-2 with 39 knockouts and the distinction of being the first and only eight-time world champion in the sport is nothing to sneeze at. Ogas closes hard. 10-9, Ugas (118-110, Ugas) Round 11 (12:55 a.m.): Ugas with her other right hand. Pacquiao doesn’t seem to pick up when he comes in until he’s already applauded. mani with mix. Ogas fires back but Mane is out of range. Ugas’ right hand sends Manny back. Mane appears again with a mixture. Both are ground but Mane is busier. 10-9, Pacquiao (108-101, Ugas) Round 10 (12:51 a.m.): The crowd was silenced as we entered Round 10. Pacquiao’s enthusiasm went as he began to stabilize as he was close to losing. A short brawl broke out with both big shots. The crowd is back! Ojas hits him with his right hand. Hymns close. A mixture of mani. Ogas sticks a jab. Ugas’ right hand worked behind the stab without a hitch. The other hard right hand Ugas closes the round. This is close. But not close enough. Ugas, 10-9 (99-91, Ugas) Round 9 (12:47 a.m.): We’ve come to “What are you going to do?” Pacquiao District. Nothing has worked yet. Yogas light up the Pacquiao with a pair of short punches. Pacquiao is unhurt but is moved by Ugas. Pacquiao shoots a mix but Ugas responds quickly. Sweep the right hook out of the Ugas lands again. Pacquiao doesn’t have any answers and his time is running out. 10-9, Ojas (89-82, Ogas) Round 8 (12:43 a.m.): Ojas lands with a massive right hook holding Mane clean. Pacquiao lands on a mix. Another right hand by Ojas. Mane shoots a lot of punches but doesn’t land. Ogas waits, and jabs. Mane is forced to reset. Another right hand is brought down by Ojas. Pacquiao tries to reply but Ugas is too much. 10-9, Ugas (79-73, Ugas) Round 7 (12:40 a.m.): Pacquiao rolls and throws a bunch of punches but nobody does much of anything. Ojas with another solid combination that moves mani. Yojas holding and following him with his right hand. Mane eats it. They exchange right hands to close the round. Mane moves. No yoga. Fighting story. Another round of Ugas. 10-9, Ojas (69-64, Ojas) Round 6 (12:36 a.m.): Mane is trying hard to find a way in. Finally he landed hard but Ojas put his right hand on his cheek. A three-punch combination of Ugas closes out the round and potentially gives him the round. 10-9, Ogas (59-55, Ogas) Round 5 (12:32 a.m.): Slightly slower start to the round. Both are looking to find their way around. Ugas mane lights up with a punch and a double punch. Pacquiao rolls over and is sniped again with his right hand. Pacquiao with combination but Ugas straight back at him. Pacquiao with more punches but much more effective Ugas. I’ll have effective. 10-9, Ogas (49-46, Ogas) Round 4 (12:27 a.m.): Ogas directs Pacquiao’s head back with a punch. Pacquiao fires five punches that Ugas takes to the elbows. Ugas with a jab that is considered low. They stopped working for the warning. Ugas picks up Pacquiao’s barrage with his right hand that slows Pacquiao down. Not sure what the judges would like but Ugas does. It is difficult to raise the right of the territory of the Ugas. These punches move Mane. Another right hand by Ojas. Another blow hits Mane’s head back. 10-9, Ugas (39-37, Ugas) Round 3 (12:22 a.m.): Pacquiao runs forward, grabs gloves and Ugas pushes him away to make a statement. Another Pacquiao volley. Ojas, 10-9 (29-28, Ogas) Round Two (12:19 a.m.): This Ojas hit is a problem and he lands on it with alarming hesitation. Pacquiao lands with his right hand and Ugas quickly takes him out with another hit. The right hand of the territory of the Ugas. A combination of Ugas punches well. Pacquiao has a hard time finding an entry point and Ugas cracks him with a bunch and big. Very powerful tour of Ugas. 10-9, Ogas (19-19) Round 1 (12:15 a.m.): Pacquiao fired a fast wave to start the round. Ogas is looking forward to sticking a jab to the body. Pacquiao tries to make his way inside. He hit his hard right hand that stuns Ujas. Pacquiao already bounced punches from Ugas and Ugas to land a powerful combination. Fans aren’t happy with a lot of infighting but it looks like Guerrero is on top. Fans only want Manny Pacquiao at this point but they’ve had an entertaining fight. 11:35 p.m.: A little more than halfway through and Guerrero and Ortiz both engaged in some amusing exchanges, but Guerrero was the strongest and newest fighter. Even though both of them were past their initial date, they were giving fans a joint entertainment main event. 11:20 p.m.: Combined main event time: Welterweights Robert Guerrero and Victor Ortiz. 11:08 p.m.: Make it two 10th-round KOs on the main card: Mark Magsayo stops Julio Ceja with his big right hand 50 seconds into the 10th round in a featherweight bout. 10:07 PM: The first main card battle ends early; Carlos Castro defeated Oscar Escandon at 1:08 of the 10th round.
