Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) Vice President of Strategy and Business Development Liran Dan, who has held the position since 2015, today he is leaving the partner. Dan led the launch and establishment of Partner TV as the fastest growing television service in Israel, through collaborations with Netflix and Amazon. Globus learned that Dan informed his superiors several weeks ago (before choosing Avi Zvi as CEO) of his intention to step down. At their request, he waited for the announcement until the new CEO was appointed. With the aim of differentiating itself from other TV services, Partner was the first company in Israel to implement a “Super Integration” strategy, making all of the world’s leading content services available in one place. It was also the first company in Israel to announce a strategic agreement with Netflix, in 2017, and a year later it signed a similar strategic agreement with Amazon. The relationship has deepened in recent months, and Partner is currently the only company in Israel to offer content packages that combine Netflix and Amazon. Partner was also the first company in Israel, and one of the first in the world, to choose to launch a TV service based on the Android TV platform. Partner TV’s unique model has affected the Israeli TV market in terms of content and technology, and has increased competition. Since Partner TV launched in August 2017, more than 240,000 families in Israel have subscribed to it. Partner’s board of directors said in a statement: “We are grateful to Ran Dan for his six years of successful and innovative activity, and we wish him all the best in the future.” Posted by Globes, Israel business news – en.globes.co.il – on May 27, 2021 © Copyright Globes Publisher Itonut (1983) Ltd. 2021
