At the Xbox and Bethesda Showcase at E3 2021, Microsoft announced A Plague Tale: Requiem, slated for release for PC and Xbox Series X | S on Xbox Game Pass launch day in 2022. Microsoft’s previous game, A Plague Tale: Innocence, launched in 2019, and since its launch, the game quickly racked up over a million sales. Set in France, the game revolves around the survival of two children under the protection of the protagonist, Amecia, against a cruel priest who, in order to further his own agenda, conducts Inquisitions by spreading rats across the country. With the story of innocence ending with one of the children, Hugo, gaining supernatural powers to control mice and the protagonist, Amecia and Hugo both becoming fugitives in France, the story of A Plague Tale: Requiem is set to pick up from there. What to expect from A Plague Tale: Requiem? A Plague Tale: Requiem is a stealth-based survival game set in France where the game’s main characters, Amicia and Hugo, are set on their journey as fugitives. The game was revealed on Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase as part of this year’s show, E3 2021, with an expanded trailer showing a release date. Featured in the trailer are rats, an integral part of the previous game where Hugo and Amicia set out on their journey. Both of their character’s looks have been updated, with both looking much older than they did in the last game. While fans of A Plague Tale: Innocence have been left on a cliff hanger, no one expected to reveal A Plague Tale: Requiem soon. . But due to the surprise reveal at E3 2021, fans have been inflated beyond logic. But apart from the promotion that was revealed, no more information was given by Microsoft at E3 2021.
