SentinelOne completes its $9 billion NYSE IPO

Israeli cybersecurity company SentinelOne has completed its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), raising $1.2 billion at a company valuation of $8.9 billion. The company sold 35 million Class A shares at $35 per share, after it announced on Monday that it will sell 32 million shares at $31 to $32 per share. If underwriters exercise their options to purchase 5,250,000 Class A shares at the IPO price within 30 days, SentinelOne’s valuation could rise to $11.5 billion. The company will begin trading on Wall Street today with the S Index. SentinelOne was founded in 2013 in Israel by CEO Tomer Weingarten and Almog Cohen, who no longer has an active role in the company. The company is headquartered in Mountain View, California and its development center is in Tel Aviv. SentinelOne has developed an AI-based platform to protect endpoints including laptops, desktops, servers, and cloud servers as well as other web-connected devices. According to IVC, the company has raised $797 million so far in eight funding rounds, the latest of which was completed over the past year with a value of $3.26 billion. Funds raised in SentinelOne’s IPO will serve as working capital, general business purposes and possibly the acquisition of companies or technologies. The underwriting was backed by a long list of insurers: Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Barclays, Wells Fargo, UBS, Jefferies, Deutsche Bank, Piper Sandler, Cowen, PTIG, Needham, Loeb Capital, Drexel Hamilton , tr. .
