What is tuna tartar
Tuna tartar is a dish consisting of finely chopped raw tuna, which is spiced with any flavors one desires. You can usually find this dish on most high-end restaurant menus as an appetizer.
Eating tuna can be quite pricey in restaurants. Since home cooking is always cheaper, making no-cook tuna rice makes sense. Tuna is an excellent source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids, so it’s healthy, too!
How to make tuna tartar
The first step is to find fresh sushi tuna. Go to a trusted fish vendor if you don’t catch it yourself and order the grade of sushi or tuna that will be eaten raw.
What is fish sushi grade?
The sushi rating means it is the highest quality the store has to offer, and the fish they feel confident can be eaten raw. Tuna, for example, is vetted and graded by wholesalers. The best ones are set as first class, which is usually sold as sushi grade. The fish should have a dark red color without a fishy odor. Tuna should be kept refrigerated or refrigerated and on ice until it is prepared and served.
It’s best if you eat fresh raw the day you prepare it, but it will stay in the refrigerator for up to two days.
