Top 5 Pokemon who can’t learn any HM or TM

0

HMs and TMs are a vital part of creating the perfect set of moves for Pokemon to use in battle. HMs are often used out of battle to help traverse Pokemon’s game territory. TMs are learned and used to beat other Coach partners. Believe it or not, there are a lot of Pokemon that can’t learn the moves via HM or TM. Even if they manage to learn to move from the higher level, they are not compatible with the hidden machine or the technical machine in at least one generation. Note: This article is self-contained and reflects the author’s opinion. Any HM or TMs # 5 – Wobbufett Image via The Pokemon Company Strangely enough, Wobbufett is a fully developed Pokemon that can’t learn any translation memory or HMs. Before the sixth generation, Wobbufett had no translation memory or HMs available to learn. The sixth generation sees it finally learning to protect, which is the TM20. As a decently powerful psychological type, it’s incredibly weird that Wobbufett wasn’t able to learn any TMs or HMs. # 4 – Smeargle Image via The Pokemon Company Smeargle is a Pokemon that is not currently learning any moves by TM or HM. It wasn’t given any to learn up to this point. Smeargle is Painter Pokemon and only learns Sketch movement. Sketch can target any Pokemon on the battlefield and allow Smeargle to permanently recognize the last used move. Ironically, Pokemon that can learn almost any movement cannot actually learn any moves. # 3 – The Cosmog / Cosmoem image via Game FreakCosmog develops into Cosmoem, which then develops into Solgaleo in Sun, Ultra Sun, and Sword or Lunala in Moon, Ultra Moon and Shield. He could evolve into extremely powerful Legendary Pokemon. By leveling up, he can learn some psychic motions, but nothing else. It is left pending full development in order to use any translation memory or HMs. # 2 – Magikarp Image via The Pokemon Company Magikarp can actually learn to Bounce and Hydro Pump in the eighth generation. Before that, Magikarp was one of many Pokemon who couldn’t learn a move via TM or HM. Everyone knows that Magikarp evolves into the incredibly powerful Gyarados. It’s weird to know that Magikarp couldn’t be taught any moves prior to Gen VIII in order to help himself level up and achieve this evolution. # 1 – As above screenshot via The Pokemon Company this falls in the same mocking category as Smeargle. As above, he can basically learn every step in Pokemon history. It can do this with its shifting maneuver. This allows Ditto to transform into his opponent, copying his moves, abilities, looks, and more. Even with such incredible strength, Ditto learns a large zero fat in terms of other movements, either by leveling or through TM / HM. Posted February 13, 2021, 00:25 EST.
