How does Berry Crisp work?

This summer dessert is easy to prepare. In just a few steps, you’ll have a dessert that is sure to impress and satisfy any sweet tooth.

  • Mix all of the berry filling ingredients together, then sprinkle with cornstarch.
  • Mix all the icing ingredients.
  • Place the fruit mixture in a pie dish, then top with the oats.
  • Bake for 40 minutes at 375 degrees.

Can you reheat crunchy berries?

Yes you can. You can microwave the dessert at 30-second intervals or heat it in the oven until it warms up.

The differences:

  • Feel free to do all of the same berries, skip one and add more others, or make it a “quadruple raspberry crisp” by adding some blackberries. You will need 4.5 cups of berries.
  • If the berries are not in season, you can use the frozen ones.
  • Replace the berries with another fruit, such as An apple or Peaches.
  • Add pecans or walnuts to the topping.
  • If you don’t have quick oats, use the old-fashioned method.
  • To make this crunchy gluten-free, use gluten-free oats.
  • If you do not have a pie plate, you can use a 9 x 9 or 9 inch oval plate.
  • Make crunch in ramekin molds for individual servings.
  • You can easily cut this recipe in half if you want fewer servings.
