Zeelander reveals first details of its new Zeelander 5

Following the award-winning Z44, Dutch yacht masters Zeelander has revealed the first image of an all-new project scheduled for launch in early 2022. Similar to its predecessor, Zeelander 5 Features the brand’s famous flowing lines. But it also displays a new level of interior design and volume at 48 feet. It is the second model of the new generation after the Z72 launched in 2019. From now on, Zeelander has decided to change its naming convention for the new generation of yachts, so the Z72 brand will later be changed to Zeelander 7.

Powered by three Volvo Penta IPS drives, the yacht is one of the first to feature the modern Volvo Penta auxiliary mooring feature, providing stress-free joystick docking. The Zeelander 5 will become the quietest boat in its range. And that’s no accident, as Koopmans insisted on incredibly rigorous mechanical design as well as high-tech noise-suppression cladding. “For the past 20 years, I’ve been obsessed with sound and vibration – I even started a company that specializes in it,” He says. “Zeelander 5 will become the quietest bowl in its size range. And you can be sure of the highest levels of quality and comfort on board that you would expect from Zeelander.”
